The 2022 Qualitative Analysis Conference and Couch-Stone Symposium will be held at the Delta St. John's Hotel in downtown St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada, with institutional support from Memorial University.

Known as the "oldest post-Columbian European settlement in North America," St. John's is recognized for its rich cultural life, British colonial architecture, and warm hospitality.

From the conference venue, you will be a very short walk from St. John's' many attractions: the beautiful harbour, downtown shopping areas, the night life of George Street ("The Biggest Little Street in North America"), and the provincial museum and archives, The Rooms.

We hope that you will plan to spend some extra time in the city before or after the conference to enjoy all that "The Rock" has to offer! Conference room rates at the are available for up to three nights before and after the Qualitatives/Couch-Stone.

Short drives from the city will bring you to Cape Spear (the Easternmost Point in North America), boat tours of seabirds (including the largest Atlantic Puffin colonies on this continent), stunning ocean views, hikes of all difficulty levels. By late June there could still be icebergs in the area and - if you're lucky - humpback whales will have arrived to their summer feeding areas in the waters around St. John's.

The St. John's International Airport has multiple daily flights from Toronto, Montreal, and Halifax, with connections to international destinations and is served by all of Canada's major airlines.

We look forward to June, when we will all "Come From Away" to enjoy St. John's.
