Welcome to Brantford, the Telephone City!

The 2024 Qualitative Analysis Conference will be held at Wilfrid Laurier University - Brantford Campus, in Brantford, Ontario.

Located in the heart of southwestern Ontario, Brantford is approximately 100km from each of Toronto, London, and Niagara Falls.  The largest major airport is Toronto Pearson (100km), with connections across Canada and around the world.  John C. Munro Airport in Hamilton, Ontario is a hub for low-cost carriers and is located 35 km east of Brantford.

Brantford is served by VIA Rail from Toronto Union Station and GO bus service out of Toronto and Hamilton.


Conference Sessions

Conference sessions will take place at the Wilfrid Laurier University - Brantford Campus in downtown Brantford, Ontario.  The campus is located near the Brantford Bus Terminal which serves both Brantford Transit and as the GO Bus hub connecting to Toronto and Hamilton.

Conference Accommodations

In order to receive the guaranteed conference rate at our venue, hotel bookings must be made by Sunday, May 26, 2024.

A block of rooms is available at the TownePlace Suites Brantford (part of the Marriott group of hotels), at a special conference rate.  Please note that this hotel is located near the 403 Highway, approximately 20 minutes from the conference site by public transitBook your room through the hotel's dedicated reservation system, here.  When you follow the link, select your dates and click the  "Check Availability" button on the right side of the page. Please book by May 26 to get the special conference rate.  There is a 48-hour cancellation policy.

The easiest way to travel between the hotel and downtown Brantford is with Brantford Transit, on Route NWIA or Route 8 during the day and Route 11 between 9pm and midnight.  Fares are $3.00 for a one-way cash trip, or a 10-ride pass for $24.50.  A taxi fare would be approximately $30 for this trip.

Hotel Stop: Oak Park and Savannah Oaks (corner of hotel property).  This area is known as the NWIA (North West Industrial Area) in the transit system
